Don't waste your time!

I purchased this book to supplement my study material in preparation for the CCRN examination.
What a mistake, TOTAL WASTE OF TIME.
The questions on the actual exam were much easier than in this book. Most of the questions in this book were quite specific and difficult. I did 80% of the questions in this book the day before my exam and I felt like it did not help me whatsoever.
Do yourself a favor and just pick up the PASS CCRN book and do the questions. Try and find someone who has the laura gasparis vonfrolio cd's as well and borrow them. With these two items you will pass with ease, this particular book was completely unnecessary.
I passed with 110/125 questions and the majority of the questions I got wrong were the psychosocial/professional practice ones.
This book is only good if you have all the time in the world to study. I learned a few things with this book but none to which were helpful with the actual exam.
If you have this book and are studying for your CCRN, please do not put your primary focus on this book.

I also reviewed the 6 videos/CDs by LVG then answered the questions in this book written by LVG, did practice tests on the computer and I read the core ICU text book. I passed my CCRN exam on the first try with a score of 94 correct answers out of 100 scored questions. I gave myself 3 solid months of study and practice. Please take the time to do all the test in this book and especially pay attention to the questions you miss and try to understand why you miss them (read the correct answers). Good Luck!!

All the info you need to know in a concise book! Studying for the CCRN has always been overwhelming and intimidating yet this book has made it easier and really does help you remember and re-enforce information. Highly recommend!
